Job Title: Engineering & Compliance Manager

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on asset compliance, audit readiness, contractor performance, and risk management across multiple heritage and hospitality assets.

The successful candidate will lead statutory and essential services compliance across the company's prestigious Sydney CBD precinct, including a landmark theatre, a luxury hotel, and several historic buildings.

  • Manage fire safety and essential services compliance, including preparation and submission of Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS).
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing non-conformances and driving continuous improvement.
  • Oversee building compliance programs using a specialized platform.
  • Audit and enhance preventative maintenance programs across critical building services.
  • Support strategic planning, feasibility assessments, and lifecycle strategies for major plant and equipment.
  • Mentor and support Maintenance Managers and Chief Engineers in compliance execution.
  • Maintain and build a network of consultants and specialist contractors.
  • Contribute to sustainability and Workplace Health and Safety initiatives.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Engineering & Compliance Manager with:

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, facilities management, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in managing building compliance, statutory services, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Building Codes, Fire Safety Regulations, and AFSS compliance.
  • Experience working across multi-site hospitality, entertainment, or commercial asset portfolios.
  • Familiarity with compliance software and asset management systems.
  • High-level communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
