About the Role

The Commercial Manager will be a trusted member of the team responsible for commercial and contract management. This role provides reliable, sound advice to the Project Manager, considering contract terms, commercial risk, and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to prepare, review, and negotiate contract change documentation in support of the project.
  • Prepare commercial letters and correspondence as required.
  • Monitor Purchaser Directions and customer correspondence, managing timely responses in line with the contract.
  • Oversee contract performance against delivery schedules and other terms.
  • Escalate areas of concern or major contractual issues to the VP Commercial.
  • Ensure timely administration of the contract, particularly change and payment processes.
  • Develop productive relationships with third-party stakeholders.
  • Identify and communicate commercial risks and initiate business responses.
  • Represent the company in external negotiations.
  • Comply with Commercial Policies/Governance requirements and strategy.
  • Support the Subcontracts Manager in ensuring flow-down requirements are included in subcontracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or equivalent degree.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
