Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned sales professional to drive revenue growth and expansion in our open source business. This role involves advancing our customers' understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystems, negotiating commercial agreements, and building strategic relationships.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of open source selling models, have experience with contract negotiations, and be able to build and expand key partnerships.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Advance customer awareness of Canonical Ubuntu capabilities
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements
  • Billing and owning sales engagement strategies
  • Grow customers through targeted campaigns
  • Deliver on targets and objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential Experience:
  • A track record of achieving revenue results in the technology industry
  • Experience with Linux and open source technologies
  • Excellent academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or alternative path
  • Confidence in communicating complex ideas
  • Leadership skills and ability to mentor colleagues
  • Passion for technology evidenced by personal projects
  • Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills
  • Professional written and spoken English
