Role Overview

The Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for an aged population. This includes planning and conducting activities programs that cater to residents with diverse physical and cognitive impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with a patient-centred focus to plan and conduct activities programs that promote social interaction, emotional well-being, and physical activity.
  • Partner with the healthcare team to foster a supportive environment that encourages participation and engagement from all residents.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to convey information and resolve issues with staff at all levels, residents, families, and visitors.
About The Position

This role requires a proactive and empathetic individual who can build strong relationships with residents, families, and the healthcare team.

Candidates will be required to have a Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Health) or equivalent, and be willing to gain qualification via trainee sponsorship.

Essential Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Community Services (Lifestyle and Health)
  • Current Level 2 First Aid
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with clients with diverse care requirements
  • Commitment to the provision of the Charter of Residents Rights and Responsibilities
  • Sound computer knowledge and keyboard skills
  • Full driver's license
