Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Windermere Child and Family Services is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Graduate Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Early Intervention and Therapy Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support to children aged 0-12 with complex disabilities and developmental delays.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with families to assess needs and develop tailored intervention plans, assisting them in implementing strategies and accessing resources.
- Utilize a coaching approach with families to empower them in supporting their child's development.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Early Childhood Education Specialists, Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, and Allied Health Assistants, to support individual consumer caseloads.
- Provide direct occupational therapy support and strategies to children aged 7-12 years.
- Participate in monthly graduate meetings for case study review, professional development, and peer support.
- Engage in fortnightly supervisions/mentoring sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Effectively manage your work schedule to meet service delivery targets.
- Tertiary qualified in Occupational Therapy with current and ongoing registration with AHPRA.
- Experience in assessing children from 0 to 12 with a variety of clinical and developmental needs and working collaboratively with other team members.
- Ability to build trusting working relationships with children, families, and the Early Intervention and Therapy Service team.
- Openness to continuous quality improvement and ongoing learning and growth as part of a high-performing team.
- Ability to manage own caseload to meet consumer needs and team service delivery targets.
- A current Victorian Driver Licence.
- Willingness to promote and support practices that are inclusive, culturally responsive, safe, and accessible.
- Willingness to undertake relevant pre-employment screening and checks, including NDIS worker screening check, Police Check, Pre-Employment Medical, and Working with Children's check.
- Right to Work in Australia, e.g., Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Visa holder with full working rights.
