Paediatric Occupational Therapist

About the Role
Yooralla is seeking a passionate and experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team in the South region. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will provide best practice, evidence-based occupational therapy services to children and young people with a disability to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy in people's homes, educational settings, or in the community, aimed at maximising a person's functional skills and participation, as well as promoting physical health and wellbeing.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists.
- Provide indirect client service/family coordination to support client goals.
About You
You will be an established and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage people with a disability, motivate them, and build their capability. You will have an ability to work in partnership with children and young people with a disability to set and achieve goals, and to work collaboratively with the person's supports, including their families.
Requirements
- Experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model.
- The ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
- A willingness to improve on your clinical practice, including the ability to self-reflect and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you're not familiar with.
- Care for the work you do and for the people you work with.
- Competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems.
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapy), and
- An Australian driver's licence and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel across Southern Melbourne region, as required.
