Executive Chef Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee the delivery of high-quality food services in our aged care living facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. They will also ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Leadership: Lead and manage a team of chefs, cooks, and other food services staff to deliver exceptional results.
  • MENU Planning and Preparation: Plan, prepare, cook, and present a range of meals that cater to different tastes and dietary requirements.
  • Food Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all food services operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Team Management: Supervise, train, and develop staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef or cook manager in an aged care or similar environment.
  • Excellent understanding of HACCP and Food Safety principles.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of budget management and cost control.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make decisions quickly.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in menu planning, food ordering, stock control, and food preparation for vulnerable individuals.
  • Training in allergen management and cross-contamination prevention.
