Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Health and Safety Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Deliver training programs, workshops, and presentations to staff on various health and safety topics.

Key Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a local government setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
