Global Import Logistics Specialist

The client requires an experienced Import Logistics Coordinator to manage import-related activities. This role demands strong communication and organizational skills, ensuring seamless customs clearance.
- Ensure import documents are complete and accurate for timely customs clearance;
- Liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers to facilitate DAFF bookings and fumigation;
- Coordinate wharf cartage and transport movements nationwide;
- Monitor and report progress of shipment and container movements;
- Manage import container movements to prevent detention issues;
- Develop strong partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers;
- Provide product shortages and stock availability reports;
- Develop strong customer and supplier relationships.
**Key Responsibilities**
Ensure the efficient handling of import containers, manage logistics operations, and coordinate communication with stakeholders.
- Proven experience in import freight forwarding or similar logistics roles;
- Expertise across planning, negotiating, and delivery disciplines;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Well-developed customer service skills;
- Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and BSM software.
