About the Role

The Production Team Leader will be responsible for providing operational leadership, organisation and support to the afternoon shift team. As a highly skilled communicator, you will engage, coach and lead teams in the manufacturing environment to achieve production goals and targets on a daily basis.

Your hands-on style will proactively drive and motivate the team, while developing and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, high quality standards and safety.

  • Provide effective leadership to the afternoon shift production team.
  • Play a pivotal role in the development of improvement initiatives and projects to increase productivity.
  • Motivate and encourage people to improve efficiencies, training and accuracy in task performance.
  • Ensure the team meets scheduled demands to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Manage labour efficiently and strategic plan labour allocation.
  • Foster a culture which has production staff actively engaged in improvement activities and production targets, lead weekly toolbox meetings.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A good working knowledge of all production workstations and tasks in assembly.
  • Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Results-orientated, with a proactive, 'can do' attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to time constraints.
  • Possess high-level written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong, confident leadership skills.
