Senior Infrastructure Development Manager

This is a high-profile opportunity for an accomplished leader to drive the strategic development and delivery of infrastructure projects across Hobsons Bay.

The successful candidate will oversee a diverse portfolio spanning capital works, asset management, and environmental compliance in public open spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide visionary leadership across infrastructure development, asset management, and environmental compliance
  • Lead, mentor, and empower multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes that align with Council's strategic vision
  • Oversee the implementation of sustainable land contamination frameworks for safe public spaces
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in infrastructure planning and service delivery
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment of infrastructure outcomes with Council objectives
  • Represent Hobsons Bay in partnerships with government agencies, contractors, and industry bodies
  • Provide expert advice to Council, the CEO, and Executive Leadership Team on infrastructure priorities and risks
  • Manage budgets, business plans, and performance reporting to ensure accountability and transparency
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field
  • Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams across infrastructure and capital works
  • Strong financial, contract, and operational management capabilities
  • Expert knowledge of asset management, project delivery frameworks, and regulatory compliance
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience driving change programs with a focus on partnering approaches across organisations
  • A commitment to safety, sustainability, and community-first infrastructure outcomes
