Senior Indigenous Program Lead

This is a key leadership position within the Youth Justice team, focusing on improving services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities. The successful candidate will lead the development, management, and implementation of initiatives supporting the strategic plan.
Main Responsibilities:- Establish and maintain relationships with the Aboriginal community and key stakeholders to successfully deliver projects.
- Oversee project planning, resource coordination, and budget management.
- Drive initiatives reviewing, monitoring, and enhancing program effectiveness for young people, their families, and communities.
- A valid Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with child protection legislation.
- Proven Aboriginality.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal community engagement principles and practices.
- Experience in co-design, conducting needs assessments, and incorporating community feedback into program development.
- Excellent communication skills, empathy, and cultural competence for effective community engagement and relationship building.
- Demonstrated ongoing commitment to anti-racism.
