Arts and Culture Manager Position

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader responsible for delivering arts, events, and cultural programs. They will inspire and lead a team to develop bold, inclusive, and innovative cultural programming that drives community vibrancy and economic growth.

This role requires overseeing key venues and partnerships to drive reach, revenue, and recognition. The Arts and Culture Manager will build strategic partnerships with artists, First Nations communities, schools, and creative industries.

The ideal candidate must have tertiary qualifications in Arts Administration, Cultural Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field. They should have proven success delivering large-scale arts, events, or cultural programs in complex environments.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Inspire and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver impactful cultural projects.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to grow participation and revenue.
  • Build partnerships with diverse stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Secure external funding through grants and business cases.
  • Monitor cultural performance and insights to guide continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Arts Administration, Cultural Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale cultural projects.
  • Strong skills in audience development, sponsorship acquisition, and strategic marketing.
  • Solid financial management experience, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant legislative frameworks.
