
Senior Cultural Heritage Coordinator

Are you a seasoned professional looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an experienced Cultural Heritage Specialist to join our team.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating cultural heritage surveys and monitoring activities across various sites. They will work closely with site teams and Traditional Owners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
This is a critical role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' lived reality. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in project management, community development, or a related field.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. You will work collaboratively with local communities to develop and implement programs that support their social and economic development.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate cultural heritage surveys and monitoring activities with site teams and Traditional Owners.
- Review reports and communicate findings to key internal areas to ensure compliance.
- Maintain highly functional relationships with Traditional Owners based on trust and respect.
- Provide direct support and engagement to local Aboriginal communities regarding our activities.
- Implement our Social Performance Strategy across the business.
- Demonstrate a clear commitment to safety and health, eliminating or controlling risks of injury and/or damage to equipment.
The following skills and qualifications are essential:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, community development, cultural heritage, or administration.
- Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Traditional Owners.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' lived reality.
