We are seeking a seasoned educator to assume the position of Assistant Principal, Curriculum and Instruction. This key role demands an unwavering commitment to embedding literacy and numeracy knowledge and skills within curriculum and assessment.
- This position will focus on leading effective, evidence-based literacy and numeracy teaching and assessment practices to enhance student learning outcomes across the curriculum.
- The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to augment teacher growth and development in literacy and numeracy, thereby strengthening school-wide instructional capabilities across the curriculum for middle and senior leaders.
- Implementation of data-driven literacy and numeracy practices to improve teaching, learning, and assessment across the curriculum.
- Providing targeted professional learning opportunities that ensure the ongoing development and growth of teacher expertise in the teaching of literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.
- Collaborating with colleagues to plan, teach, and evaluate the impact of evidence-informed teaching strategies for improved student outcomes in literacy and numeracy across the curriculum.
This role requires a deep understanding of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare, as well as educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
