This is a role that requires exceptional leadership skills to drive Indigenous employment and retention goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster strong relationships with Indigenous communities and promote cultural safety in the workplace.
  • Maintain and enhance partnerships with employment agencies, Indigenous organizations, and state governments to expand opportunities and ensure sustainable outcomes.
  • Represent the organization on Indigenous panels, contribute to Indigenous enterprises, and lead engagement initiatives such as Community 2 Day and Indigenous Pathways to Construction.
  • Support the development of social media content, government reporting, and submission of tenders focused on Indigenous participation.
  • Maintain relationships throughout construction projects and engage with subcontractors to build capacity and meet targets.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Reconciliation Action Plan tasks.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Government, Social Procurement, Diversity and Inclusion, Stakeholder Management, or similar fields.
  • Strong understanding of Victoria's Social Procurement Framework and Indigenous employment practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
  • Proven experience in program development, partner relationship management, and negotiation.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to work in diverse teams, and build strong business relationships.
