About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manager/Senior Manager to join our market leading Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team at BDO Australia.

As a key member of our mid-market focused M&A team, you will advise on transactions with enterprise values up to A$200M across several industries including technology, automotive, healthcare, education, and industrials.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Drive M&A projects, providing lead advisory services and building strong client relationships.
  • Project Management: managing engagements and building strong working relationships.
  • Coaching & Mentoring: guiding and reviewing the work completed by the junior team members.
  • Team Collaboration: working closely with leadership and the wider team around strategy and business development initiatives.
  • Represent BDO: acting as an ambassador of the firm, participating in marketing events and keeping abreast of the wide range of services the firm offers.
  • National Initiatives: contributing to BDO National M&A team activities.
  • Growth: supporting recruitment and team retention, including the development and training of the team.
About You

This role will suit an experienced manager with a solid background in corporate finance looking to take the next step in their career. You'll be joining an elite team of professionals who pride themselves on their strong work ethic.

The attributes below will ensure your success:

  • Minimum of four years lead M&A advisory experience in professional services/boutique advisory firm/private equity or investment banking.
  • Well-rounded lead M&A advisory skills, including research, analysis, modelling, presentation and project management.
  • CA and/or CFA qualifications (or similar).
  • Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • A strong internal drive to deliver exceptional outcomes.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills coupled with people management experience.
