Strategic Crisis Management Director

Role Summary
The Enterprise Crisis Management Lead is responsible for developing and implementing crisis management plans that encompass various scenarios and potential risks. This role demands strategic foresight, strong leadership, and the ability to foster a culture of readiness across all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing crisis management plans
- Leading proactive crisis preparedness efforts
- Conducting training and simulation exercises
- Managing incident response
- Post-crisis evaluation and improvement
About You
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:
- Demonstrated experience in crisis management, emergency response, or a related field, at an Enterprise level with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Relevant professional certifications or qualifications in business continuity management, risk management, emergency management or related field are desirable
- Proven experience developing and implementing risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Effective understanding of the financial services industry, relevant regulators (e.g., ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC), and current and proposed financial services regulatory and legislative requirements
- Strong leadership skills, capable of making critical decisions under pressure and capable of guiding teams through complex and challenging situations
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to interact confidently and ability to convey information clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels
- Successful track record of internal and external senior stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in delivering training or exercising small groups of people from cross-functional areas
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities to anticipate potential issues and devise proactive solutions
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage evolving situations, changing priorities and remain calm under pressure
