We are a leading provider of early childhood education, with a strong reputation in the local community. Our purpose-built centre in North Gosford offers a stimulating learning environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader and Educational Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards, and will be able to inspire and motivate our educators to deliver high-quality care and education.

The Room Leader will be responsible for supporting educators to assess each child's learning and development, and will work closely with our Head of Education and Quality to ensure that our centre meets the highest standards.

The Educational Leader will spend time floating between each room, and will be allocated a minimum of 8 hours per week of non-contact time to complete any training and mentoring required.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting educators to assess each child's learning and development in relation to the approved learning framework, other contemporary theories and the Thrive Curriculum
  • Supporting educators to critically reflect on each child's learning and development and on their own pedagogy as part of everyday practice.
  • Reflecting on educational pedagogy as part of everyday practice
  • Maintaining a positive working relationship with all team members
  • Maintaining effective communication with parents
  • Upholding strong work values with a focus on being your best by doing your best

Requirements:

  • Either Bachelor of Teaching (or equivalent) or Diploma qualification in early childhood education.
  • NSW Working With Children Check
  • NESA Teacher Accreditation (ECT's only)
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer and technology skills
