Allan's Men's Hairdressing is a renowned name in the barbering industry, boasting over 35 years of experience. With multiple locations across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, and Wollongong, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional grooming services to our clients.

Our founder, Allan, is a passionate barber who established his first shop over 35 years ago with a mission to create a space where men can receive quality haircuts and grooming services. Over the years, Allan's Men's Hairdressing has grown into a chain of 15 barber shops throughout Australia, all designed to provide our clients with the best possible grooming experience.

At Allan's Men's Hairdressing, we believe that getting a haircut should be an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Our team of skilled and experienced barbers is dedicated to providing you with personalized and professional grooming services, using only the highest quality hair care products and the latest techniques and tools available.

Our commitment to exceptional customer service and attention to detail is unwavering. We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in all of our barber shops, where you can relax, socialize, and receive quality grooming services.

About You
  • Applicable years of hair cutting and styling experience and/or hairdressing apprenticeship
  • A genuine passion for hair and a desire to excel in all aspects of hairdressing/barbering
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong team player with a willingness to work collaboratively with all team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional results
Key Responsibilities
  • Cut or trim hair using clippers and scissors
  • Shave and trim moustaches and beards
  • Shape, cut, adjust, and curl wigs as required by clients
  • Operate cash registers and perform limited reception duties
  • Sell salon or barber shop's retail products
  • Provide advice to clients regarding hair products and care
  • Provide post-cutting guidelines and ensure cleanliness of work areas
  • Maintain and sanitize hair cutting tools and salon instruments
  • Provide demonstrations to trainees and train newly hired hair stylists
  • Maintain appointment calendars and customer databases
  • Respond to customer enquiries in-store, online, and over the phone
  • Ensure showroom and products are well-presented and tidy
  • Ensure showroom products are displayed with correct price tags
  • Greet customers as they enter the showroom
  • Contact existing customers to provide aftersales service and upsell
  • Resolve customer complaints by reporting to store manager and assisting in investigating problems, developing solutions
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Ability to provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
  • Perform end-of-day reconciliations
