About the Role

Allan's Men's Hairdressing Pty Ltd is a reputable and well-established barbering company seeking a skilled Hairdresser to join our team. With a passion for delivering exceptional grooming services, this role will see you working closely with our experienced barbers to provide high-quality haircuts, shaves, and styling services to our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut or trim hair using clippers and scissors
  • Shave and trim moustaches and beards
  • Shape, cut, adjust and curl wigs as required by clients
  • Operate cash registers
  • Perform limited reception duties
  • Sell salon or barber shop's retail products
  • Provide advice to clients regarding hair products and care
  • Provide appropriate post-cutting guidelines
  • Ensure appropriate cleanliness of work areas
  • Maintain and sanitise hair cutting tools and salon instruments
  • Provide demonstrations to trainees
  • Train newly hired hair stylists in a proactive manner
  • Maintain appointment calendars and customer databases
  • Respond to customer enquiries instore, online and over the phone
  • Ensure the showroom and products are well presented and tidy
  • Ensure showroom products are displayed with correct price tags
  • Greet customers as they enter the showroom
  • Contact existing customers to provide aftersales service and upsell
  • Resolves customer complaints by reporting to store manager then assist in investigating problems, developing solutions
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications
  • Establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies
  • Ability to provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales
  • Perform end of day reconciliations

Over the years, Allan's Mens Hairdressing has grown into a chain of 15 barber shops located throughout Australia, all of which are designed to provide our clients with the best possible grooming experience.

Our team of skilled and experienced barbers is dedicated to providing you with personalized and professional grooming services, using only the highest quality hair care products and the latest techniques and tools available.

About You

  • Applicable years of hair cutting and styling experience and or hairdressing apprenticeship
  • You have a passion for hair, enjoy all aspects of Hairdressing/Barbering
  • You are well presented
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced reliable Barber with client focused to deliver great service in a friendly team environment
  • You must be well versed in all aspects of Barbering, or have a genuine thirst for knowledge so we are able to develop your skills
  • A strong team player - willing to work hand in hand with All team members
  • Excel in Time Management, excellent communication, high-level of customer service skills, honesty and integrity are a must along with an Enthusiastic and Positive Attitude
