We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our Central Workshop Maintenance team at our Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all safety and operating systems and have a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives.

Core accountabilities include:

  • Maintaining plant and equipment to a high standard.
  • Troubleshooting, fault finding, breakdown and preventative maintenance on Heavy Mobile Equipment.
  • Achieving performance targets in compliance with statutory, safety, health requirements.

To be considered for this role, you will require a Mechanical Trade Qualification (Cert III in Engineering - Diesel Fitter or equivalent), a current Australian Manual Drivers Licence and a minimum of C Class Manual Drivers Licence. Experience with safety management systems, within a mining Mobile Maintenance Operations and HIAB, EWP, Forklift, Dogging and Rigging Certificates are highly desirable.

This is an attractive opportunity to work on a 7 on, 7 off roster with market leading pay rates, overtime rates, inclusive of a $10,000 Maintenance Allowance per year, training and upskilling opportunities, career progression and an Employee Incentive Program (monthly bonus).

About the Role

This is a key position within our maintenance team and requires a high level of mechanical knowledge and expertise. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our mobile equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on mobile equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and fault finding exercises to identify and rectify issues.
  • Undertake preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification (Cert III in Engineering - Diesel Fitter or equivalent)
  • Current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
  • Minimum of C Class Manual Drivers Licence
  • Experience with safety management systems
