Job Title:

A Diesel Fitter is a skilled tradesperson responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of diesel engines.

  • Maintain plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Undertake troubleshooting, fault finding, breakdown and preventative maintenance on Heavy Mobile Equipment.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with statutory, safety, health and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements and greasing of moving parts.
  2. Diagnose and rectify faults in diesel engines and associated systems.
  3. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues.
  4. Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Requirements:
  • Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers Licence.
  • Minimum of C Class Manual Drivers Licence.
  • Experience within a mining Mobile Maintenance Operations.
  • HIAB, EWP, Forklift, Dogging and Rigging Certificates (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
