Job Description

This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the right people, skills, and systems are in place to support operational and supply chain targets.

The incumbent will lead the development and execution of workforce capability strategies aligned with operational and program delivery objectives.

  • Collaborate with planning teams to identify resource and capability gaps across operations and supply chain programs.
  • Develop and execute strategic workforce plans to meet current and future program demands.
  • Partner with Recruitment, Learning & Development, and Talent teams to address workforce shortfalls and support capability building initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
  • Support effective resource prioritization and decision-making within a constrained workforce environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have expertise in supply chain management, operations, and project management, with strong leadership and strategic planning skills.

They will be able to drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing high-quality solutions to complex workforce and operational challenges.

Experience working in a defence or space-related industry, with knowledge of Australian Defence Force (ADF) security requirements, is highly desirable.
