The role of an Accounts and Payroll Professional is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of financial operations within an organization.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process client invoices accurately and timely.
- Reconcile debtor accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Manage daily online banking and reconciliation activities.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations and provide insightful reporting.
- Take ownership of full debtor collection, following up on outstanding payments to secure timely resolution.
- Effectively handle arrears, manage disputes, and queries with clients through to resolution.
- Perform new credit account risk assessments as required by management.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of data entry and record keeping tasks.
- Process payroll with precision and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional employee and contractor care, including inductions and support.
- Integrate systems for seamless operations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Mandatory Qualification / Experience
- Desirable: Astute payroll and XERO experience.
- Basic IT skills in MS Office software are necessary.
- A meticulous approach to reconciling and accounting activities is essential.
- Accounting degree (preferred) or minimum 5 years accounts experience is required.
- Proven ability to multitask, work under pressure, and possess well-developed organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the full function of accounts is beneficial.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are vital.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and processes.
- Flexible attitude with a willingness to take ownership and accountability.
- Proven capability to work independently, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
