Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the timely and accurate processing of payroll for employees and contractors, while upholding compliance with all legislative requirements.

This position involves assisting with fortnightly payroll processing, including data entry, costing, leave applications, and payroll records. You will also contribute to reconciliations for deductions, PAYG tax, superannuation, and payroll tax reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile payroll records, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information and payment details.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, contractors, and stakeholders regarding payroll-related matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a finance or human resources role.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of HR and finance systems, including payroll software and general ledger management.
