About the RoleWe are seeking a consultative individual with strong interpersonal skills to join our team as an Emergency Management Resilience Officer. This part-time position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to build social cohesion through community-led resilience to emergencies and natural disasters within the Ballina Local Government Area.
The successful candidate will have a qualification in emergency management, community engagement, and development, with a minimum of two years' experience in implementing community-led preparedness and resilience programs. They will also have demonstrated knowledge of emergency management and natural disaster community preparedness and resilience principles, practices, standards, and related disciplines.
The role involves working with communities and support partners during all stages of the emergency management cycle, with a focus on developing and implementing Council's emergency management framework to strengthen community preparedness and resilience to emergencies and natural disasters.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a part-time annual salary range of $51,800 to $59,400 (plus 11.5% superannuation), fitness passport membership options, and an inclusive culture where all our people are valued, EEO, diversity, and differences are respected.
