About the Role
We are seeking a Production Support Officer to join the Material Transportation Business Line Division (MTB) of Metso. This permanent position will report to the Production Support Team Leader and is located at our Ballina foundry.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring prompt processing of production orders to minimize customer and supply location impact.
- Purchase materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Extension of material master parts to relevant facility location in the ERP system.
- Proactively monitoring outstanding supply items – generating reports and conducting continuous reviews.
- Deal with internal customers and vendors to ensure on time delivery.
- Ongoing support to the production team.
- General administration including front of house duties.
Requirements
- Experience with SAP advantage.
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office and an ERP system.
- Administration, inventory and purchasing experience.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills both verbal and written.
- A high level of attention to detail with strong multi-tasking abilities.
- The ability to prioritise and time manage your work.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
- You are a local resident with full working rights in Australia.
