Associate - Environmental Specialist

Our Environment & Planning practice group is recognized as one of the leading teams in Australia, and we are seeking an Associate to join our Melbourne team. As an Associate, you will work closely with our experienced partners to provide expert advice and support to clients on a range of environmental and planning law matters.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and support to clients on environmental and planning law matters, including major project approvals, environmental licensing and compliance, and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Court proceedings.
- Work on a mix of transaction, advice, and litigation work, including contaminated land and waste management, water law, risk management, and incident response.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional results and exceed client expectations.
- Contribute to the development of the Environment & Planning practice group, including identifying new business opportunities and developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
- A minimum of 3 years PQE ideally gained within a reputable Environment & Planning practice.
- Experience and expertise with planning litigation, advice, and project management.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong drafting skills.
- Strong academic achievements.
