Pathology Transport Specialist Role

We are seeking a reliable and efficient transport specialist to facilitate the movement of pathology samples, specimens, blood, vaccines, and clinical waste between medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick-up and delivery of pathology samples, specimens, blood, vaccines, and clinical waste to and from healthcare providers
  • Liaising with Healthcare Professionals and Logistics Coordinators regarding orders and inventory management
  • Preparation and delivery of reports and stock control in the main laboratory
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity
  • Following operating procedures to complete accurate specimen coding documentation
  • Compliance and adherence to policies and procedures, occupational health and safety guidelines, and quality assurance processes

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with different stakeholders and strong written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills, juggling up to 30 stops per day
  • Physical capability to handle equipment weighing regularly up to 10kg-15kg
  • Ability to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions
  • Previous experience in logistics or transportation is highly advantageous
  • A Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with permission to work
