Lead Anatomical Pathology Specialist
Northern Tasmanian Pathology Service provides pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania.
The department aims to deliver a high-quality service to medical specialists, providing patients with no out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare-eligible tests. The team at NTPS comprises a large group involving multi-disciplinary scientists, technicians, and pathologists.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage operational and scientific aspects of Anatomical Pathology department
- Work closely with Laboratory manager, HOD, Anatomical Pathology, and clinical staff to realise departmental objectives
- Provide expert scientific advice to clinical staff on matters pertaining to Anatomical Pathology
Required Skills:
- Good understanding of Anatomical pathology workflows with proficiency in Histology and/or Cytology
- Prior experience in managing teams will be considered an advantage
- Postgraduate qualification will be considered advantageous
