
Veterinary Pathology Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Pathology Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting veterinary pathology duties in support of diagnostic work, including providing expert analysis and interpretation of animal health data.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary science and significant experience in performing pathology duties. They will be highly skilled in analyzing and interpreting complex biological data and able to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform veterinary pathology duties, including necropsy examination, tissue sampling, and histopathological examination.
- Analyze and interpret complex biological data to provide expert opinions on animal health status and disease surveillance activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and accurate diagnosis and reporting of animal health issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of veterinary medicine and adhere to relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A degree in Veterinary Science or equivalent qualification as recognized by the relevant professional bodies.
- Registration as a veterinarian in Tasmania under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1987.
- Membership qualifications in Pathobiology with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVSc) and/or board certification with the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP).
