Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist in an inpatient/community setting. The role involves providing high-quality mental health care to children and adolescents, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents presenting with complex mental health issues
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality and privacy standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in child and adolescent mental health settings, preferably in an inpatient/community environment
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a medical practitioner
  • Specialized training or certification in child and adolescent psychiatry, or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
