A Psychologist is required to provide assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic psychological services to students from Pre-Prep to Year 12. This role involves fostering the development of mental health and wellbeing of all students.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for undertaking educational and psychological assessment and diagnosis in all areas of child and adolescent development. They will also provide psychological counselling, therapy and programs for individuals and groups.
The successful Psychologist will apply individual psychological evidence-based therapy experience and competence, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). They will deliver psycho-educational assessment involving intellectual and ability assessment tools, clinical measurement, clinical interview and observation.
Key responsibilities include providing diagnosis requirement analysis and synthesis of multiple measures, other information and understanding of diagnostic criteria as set out in DSM – V or ICD 10. The Psychologist will support with social, emotional, and behavioural development programs.
Collaboration with families, relevant practitioners and key internal stakeholders is essential to ensure a holistic approach to student wellbeing.
