Senior Companion Program

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our Senior Companion program. As a volunteer, you will be matched with a senior client in their own home, providing companionship and support through regular visits.

Our senior clients live in the community and value the opportunity to engage in conversation, receive assistance with daily tasks, and participate in activities that bring joy and fulfillment to their lives.

The role involves:

  • Visiting seniors in their homes for 1 hour per week/fortnight over a minimum of 6 months
  • Providing emotional support, listening ear, and helping hand as needed
  • Assisting with transport to events and outings to help seniors stay connected to their community

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A demonstrated ability to provide a client-focused service
  • Compassionate, patient, and observant qualities
  • Flexibility and availability over a three to six-month commitment
