Behaviour Support Specialist Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Support Specialist to deliver high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, focusing on reducing problematic behaviours and enhancing their overall quality of life.

About the Job
  • Conduct in-depth Behaviour Assessments to identify triggers, strengths, and underlying causes of problematic behaviours through observations, interviews, and data collection.
  • Develop and implement individualized Behaviour Support Plans with proactive and reactive strategies to address problematic behaviours and promote improved outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with participants, families, caregivers, and support networks to ensure consistent implementation of strategies.
  • Support individuals in developing functional skills to reduce restrictive practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate behaviour support strategies using data and evidence-based practices to track progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Advocate for individuals' rights while working collaboratively with allied health professionals to deliver person-centred and holistic support.
