Indigenous Business Leadership Director

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Indigenous business leadership.
As a senior leader, you will provide strategic direction and operational management for a significant initiative in Indigenous business.
You will partner closely with academic leaders and staff to foster collaboration across research, teaching, and engagement.
The key responsibilities include leading operations, governance, and compliance, driving financial sustainability, budget planning, and revenue-raising initiatives.
Mentoring and developing a professional team that supports academics and researchers is also crucial.
Building strong relationships with Indigenous businesses, communities, philanthropists, and government stakeholders is vital.
Representing the organization publicly and strengthening its reputation across national and international networks is essential.
- Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage (essential)
- Hold postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience and bring extensive management and leadership expertise
- Have proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and deliver operational sustainability
- Be experienced in building strong partnerships with Indigenous communities, academia, and business
- Bring exceptional communication skills, governance knowledge, and ability to represent the organization publicly
