Maintenance Planner Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced maintenance planner to fill this key role.

  • This is a critical position that involves planning and scheduling all day-to-day maintenance activities and resources utilising SAP.
  • The successful candidate will have tertiary or trade qualifications (ideally mechanical or electrical trades) and experience in reliability-focused maintenance in a manufacturing or process plant environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Preparing and implementing effective plant maintenance tasks, schedules and work instructions for all assets;
  • Tracking plant maintenance schedules and work order for all assets to ensure optimal asset performance;
  • Preparing maintenance department performance KPIs and identifying trends and opportunities to improve asset reliability;
  • Coordinating with production, maintenance fitters, electricians and external contractors to ensure efficient resource allocation during routine and shutdown maintenance;
  • Maintaining accurate documentation related to asset management;
  • Contractor supervision and management;
  • Supporting the maintenance manager with capital projects and other departmental duties as required.
