Job Overview

The Operations Supervisor is a pivotal role in driving innovation and execution within transportation networks.

This leadership position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate a team to meet productivity expectations aligned with organizational goals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking attendance and workflow, collaborating with senior leaders to highlight and rectify issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of a robust culture of health and safety practices through compliance with legislation and policy.
  • Contribute to daily management of departmental duties.
  • Assume responsibility for Operations Shift Manager and Operations Lead tasks as required.
  • Lead debriefs of staff members and ensure accurate completion of paperwork.
  • Perform duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assign work to staff to support workflow and daily metrics.
  • Closely collaborate with senior leaders to ensure sufficient resourcing for the function, including training needs, absence, and performance management.
  • Support new associate onboarding to equip them with necessary knowledge to perform tasks.
  • Partner with senior leaders on tracking, trending, and reporting of departmental metrics.
  • Analyze and understand reasons behind success and failure in meeting departmental and Delivery Station goals.
  • Monitor and report hours and schedules for Associates.
  • Investigate and resolve process-related area issues as needed.
  • Evaluate and report equipment defects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
