About the Logistics Manager Role

The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading a team of delivery professionals to achieve sales and executional metrics across a geographic territory.

This involves ensuring safe transportation, providing great service through executing planned calls, and increasing sales by delivering against growth plans and building rapport with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate business objectives and track performance against key performance indicators, financial targets, and delivery in full on time (DIFOT)
  • Lead performance planning, recruitment, talent identification, and succession planning within the team
  • Train and develop team members through regular discussions about their performance and development
  • Ensure a safe environment for employees, contractors, and visitors by complying with workplace health and safety policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the territory plan by demonstrating knowledge of customer needs and opportunities
  • Use customer feedback to adapt responses and improve the customer experience
  • Identify and leverage programs to meet and exceed volume and sales execution targets
  • Negotiate contracts for delivery partners
  • Drive positive impact with stakeholders and bring a growth mindset
Requirements
  • Previous experience managing relationships and building partnerships with key stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation, problem-solving, and identifying next steps and controls
  • Strong accountability to drive and achieve results
  • Effective time management and personal management skills
  • The ability to coach, mentor, and develop others to reach their full potential
  • A strategic and decisive mindset with the ability to set actionable goals
  • Strong perseverance and resilience
  • Truck license or forklift license (or willingness to obtain one)
