Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist

The role of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Specialist is crucial in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. This position requires an individual with strong knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and team members on HSE matters.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure compliance with Australian legislative requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry standards, updating policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Design and deliver training programs to build awareness and capability in HSE practices across the workforce.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in HSE management within a manufacturing or industrial environment in Australia.
  • Strong analytical thinking and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive mindset and confidence to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in risk assessment and incident investigation methodologies.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety is highly regarded.
  • Additional training or certifications aligned with Australian manufacturing standards are advantageous.
