Commercial Growth Strategist

Royal Canin is a leader in pet health nutrition, partnering with veterinarians and experts worldwide to deliver innovative, tailored solutions for cats and dogs. Our focus is on providing optimal health and wellbeing through precise nutrition.

We seek a commercially astute commercial growth strategist with a passion for pets and a proven ability to drive growth and execute strategic plans. You will develop and execute commercial strategies to increase brand visibility and sales across key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities and implementing effective commercial strategies.

  • Utilise market insights, data analytics, and category expertise to inform business decisions.

  • Develop and execute promotional initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive sales.

  • Presentation of new product developments (NPD) and category merchandising initiatives to partners.

  • Negotiation and management of trading terms as part of annual strategic planning.

  • Performance reviews with key accounts, analysis of trends, and adjustment of strategies accordingly.

  • Management of trade spend budgets and promotional programs to maximise financial performance.

  • Contribution to demand forecasting and supply chain coordination to ensure optimal product supply.

  • Support customer marketing initiatives, including promotional campaigns, product launches, and educational programs for retail and veterinary staff.

What are we looking for?

You bring proven commercial expertise, with a strong track record in developing and executing commercial strategies that drive mutual growth and meet company objectives. In addition, you have:

  • A degree in Business or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial roles within the pet industry, specifically in Key Account Management and commercial strategy development.

  • Strong project management capabilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with tools like Power BI.
