Job Summary
As a Complex Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit (PCU) setting. This role involves collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Care for patients with complex medical needs, including those with multiple chronic conditions or undergoing advanced treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as needed, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide education to patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to the development of best practices within the PCU.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in good standing, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a PCU or similar setting, with a proven track record of success in complex care environments.
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, anatomy, and physiology, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment as needed, demonstrating physical stamina and resilience.
