Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced administrator to join our team at Charterhouse, a leading Local Government authority in the south east suburbs. As an Administrative Support Officer, you will provide efficient and effective administration support to our Community Amenity team.
About the Role
- Provide administrative support, including letter writing and managing the department's inbox
- Offer excellent customer service, dealing with incoming queries regarding parking, animal, planning and compliance infringements
- Manage email correspondence and update and maintain databases
- Assess applications and issue permit consents
- Prepare reports and perform data entry and filing tasks
Requirements
- Previous Local Government experience is highly regarded
- A knowledge and understanding of local laws is essential
- Demonstrated experience in previous administration roles is required
- Intermediate knowledge of the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook, is necessary
- Excellent written and analytical skills, including accurate spelling and alpha-numeric data entry, are required
- Exceptional time management, high-level interpersonal skills and professional discretion are essential
