About Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland)

Located on Lavarack Barracks in Townsville, Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland) is a dedicated team of military and civilian employees passionate about supporting soldiers, sailors, and aviators across North Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a small team, providing coaching and training to ensure excellent logistics support.
  • Analyse and manage large datasets, utilizing spreadsheets and reports to inform decision-making.
  • Consult with internal and external stakeholders, including military personnel, fleet managers, and industry partners.
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects under the direction of higher classification levels.
  • Coach employees, identify training needs, and provide quality assurance of work.
About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our enthusiastic and caring team, working collaboratively to deliver essential logistics services, including warehousing, distribution, equipment maintenance, and clothing store support. With a broad range of skills and experiences, our team is dedicated to supporting military operations across North Queensland.

What We're Looking For
  • A self-motivated, collaborative, and innovative individual with experience in logistics, warehousing, and/or inventory management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters.
  • Strong time management skills, prioritizing a changing workload and negotiating outcomes.
  • The ability to contribute new ideas and maximize the benefits of change, identifying opportunities to improve business processes.
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
