The Australian Government Department of Defence's Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland) is a leading logistics provider in the region, supporting soldiers, sailors and aviators across North Queensland.

Role Overview

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Logistics Sustainment Officer to join our team and contribute to delivering essential logistics services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end supply chain processes for repairable items, consulting with internal and external stakeholders as required;
  • Supervise and lead a small team, coaching and training employees to improve work practices and develop local procedures;
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters;
  • Assist in project delivery under the direction of higher classification levels;
  • Contribute new ideas to improve business process efficiency;
Requirements
  • Self-motivated, collaborative and innovative individual with experience in logistics, warehousing and/or inventory;
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload and negotiate outcomes;
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders;
  • Australian Government Security Clearance.
Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary package of $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading. Salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
