Job Overview:

The role of the Data Governance and Stewardship Specialist is pivotal in ensuring trusted, consistent, and accessible data across the organisation.

This entails curating and maintaining a centralised library of data assets, business metrics, and definitions to empower teams to discover, understand, and utilise data with confidence.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing governance frameworks, defining critical metrics, assigning clear ownership, and embedding accountability for data accuracy and usage.

A significant aspect of this role is to develop and uphold data quality standards, driving continuous improvement and ensuring high data integrity.

Responsibilities also encompass coordinating responses to regulatory data requests, ensuring submissions are accurate, validated, and aligned with industry and internal standards.

Additionally, the Specialist will contribute to shaping data structures and governance models that support efficient regulatory reporting while ensuring compliance with broader governance expectations.

About You:

A minimum of 5+ years' experience in a data-related role, such as pricing, performance, or data analysis within an insurance business environment.

Proven ability to represent business interests in Data Management and Data Stewardship, aligning with compliance obligations.

Experience working with stakeholders to implement controls and develop strategies for data retention.
