Who are we looking for?

We're seeking a Data Quality Lead to drive GHD's Data Management Office data quality initiatives, contribute to the Enterprise Data Management Platform strategy, and help implement best‑practice processes across GHD. You'll work across the business to establish, deliver, uplift, and train teams on enterprise data management procedures and processes.

In this dynamic role you will:

  • Develop, document, and maintain data quality processes and standards aligned to GHD's data management strategy, and drive adoption in line with the Data Management Office vision.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to secure buy‑in at key points for decision making, rollout, training, and sustainability of data quality processes across business units and data domains.
  • Contribute to the establishment and management of data issue management frameworks to address and resolve data quality issues.
  • Develop training guides and documentation for data quality processes and tools; provide training to business units on data quality standards and best practices.
  • Ensure periodic review and upkeep of all data quality management policies, processes, and artefacts.
  • Help drive proactive data quality and data observability initiatives across GHD data assets, spanning the Data Lake/Warehouse and other applications.
  • Develop and maintain an enterprise data quality rule repository, and mentor technical stewards in creating business‑unit‑specific data quality controls.
  • Partner closely with the Data Management Architect (Reports to) and broader data leadership to ensure alignment with enterprise data goals.

What you will bring to the team:
  • Outstanding communication capabilities, with a record of effectively engaging and influencing stakeholders.
  • A proven ability to drive change across the organisation, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement aligned to data management goals.
  • The ability to articulate a clear vision for data quality programs and maintain an agile mindset for timely execution, even amid the ambiguity of greenfield environments.
  • Relevant certifications such as DCAM, CDMP, or other recognised credentials from respected data management bodies/councils.

Qualifications:
  • Tertiary degree in Computing, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of data quality experience within a large and/or global professional services organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and implementing data quality processes, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • A track record of translating business problems into actionable data quality initiatives.
  • Hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and managing data quality procedures and outputs using industry‑standard SaaS platforms such as Informatica (IDMC/IDQ) and Ataccama.
  • Solid understanding of adjacent data management disciplines, including metadata management, data lineage, data cataloguing, ownership, and stewardship.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or other major cloud providers, and exposure to integrating enterprise application suites such as Salesforce, SAP, and Power BI.
  • Exposure to data architecture and modelling concepts, with practical experience querying databases/SQL.
