Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide support to our clients in Mona Vale. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others, while also developing your skills and experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The role involves providing daily assistance with personal care, domestic tasks, meal preparation, social support, and chaperone services. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and preferences, and tailor your support to meet their individual requirements.

This is a full-time position, requiring availability during weekdays and weekends. A Covid-19 Vaccine is recommended but not mandatory. We require high level verbal communication skills, impeccable presentation, and a willingness to undergo an Australian National Police Check and NDIS Workers Check.

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support. Desirable qualifications include Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Aged Care or similar, CPR and First Aid certificate, and 6 months experience working in a similar role. A current Australian National Police Check and NSW Driver licence, car and comprehensive insurance are also essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily assistance with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with domestic tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation
  • Offer social support and companionship, engaging in activities and conversations that promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Act as a chaperone for clients to appointments and outings
