Lifestyle Assistant Role Overview

As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of seniors by providing engaging activities and support. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and making a positive impact on people's lives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging resident participation, and promoting independence. You will work closely with residents, their families, and colleagues to ensure that every individual receives personalized care and attention.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement activity plans tailored to residents' interests and abilities
  • Provide direct care and support during activities, including personal hygiene and toileting
  • Assist with meal service, mobility, and social support as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and preferences
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and teamwork

What We Are Looking For

  • A compassionate and empathetic individual with a genuine passion for caregiving
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support (or equivalent)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect residents' autonomy
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities
